Nyzza

Nyzza

Nizza stripped and fluffy

Perched on an old tree stump

Hind legs resting, waiting

Front legs relaxed, and purring

Slowly she breathes the cool summer air.

Ears pointing up high

For sounds of movement

Whiskers long and thin

Nose wet from liking

Eyes that can see at night

Head slightly slanted searching

A day of fasting about to end

Quick reflexes to boast about

Hunting for food not her taste

Jumping high and with accuracy

Captured illegally and mistreated

Lost in a land she’s never seen

A pet of sorts but no by nature

Her beauty transcends the locals

No animal around like her

Nyzza
